# Display and account settings Open **Settings** from the account menu. ## Display settings ### Theme Light, dark, or system. Choosing **System** follows whatever your computer or phone is set to. There's also an icon in the dashboard header that switches it on the spot. ### Language Choose the dashboard's display language, English or Japanese. **This only changes the labels on screen.** Clip content is shown in whatever language you saved it in. Nothing is translated. ## Account settings ### Email address Your registered email address, with a badge saying whether it's **Verified** or **Unverified**. If it's unverified, **Resend verification email** sends the confirmation again. Verifying isn't required, but doing it makes recovering a forgotten password a lot more dependable. ### Changing your password **Change** on the Password row asks for your current password and a new one (at least 8 characters). If you've forgotten your password entirely, use **Forgot your password?** on the login screen. A reset link goes to your registered email address. ### Display name Your display name **appears on public pages as the author**. It doesn't have to be your real name. Your email address is never shown. ## API keys and AI clients live elsewhere Connections to external clients are managed under **MCP connections** in the account menu. See [Connecting an AI client to Clipnote](https://clipnote.paritto.dev/p/65e19251-b6d3-451c-a746-067fa27c5842). Changing your password leaves existing API keys and connected apps **working exactly as before**. When you want a connection stopped, revoke it on that screen. ## Read next - [Connecting an AI client to Clipnote](https://clipnote.paritto.dev/p/65e19251-b6d3-451c-a746-067fa27c5842) - [What you can do over MCP](https://clipnote.paritto.dev/p/3ee1a60f-aaf0-45a0-99af-c18a3af54644) - [Limits and frequently asked questions](https://clipnote.paritto.dev/p/c45e8ace-4ccc-4299-aee3-0cfd98783902)
